The following is a visual guide to help you identify types that are acceptable and unacceptable at the shoot for safety reasons.

As ammunition is provided, all guns need to be 12 gauge. Single shot, over and under or side by side firearms are all acceptable so long as they have an internal hammer. External hammers or non- 12 gauge bores are not acceptable.

Please ensure that all of your student’s have safe and operable firearms. All firearms will be inspected prior to shooting, to ensure that none are obviously unsafe.

Unacceptable Firearms

Any firearm with external hammers is not acceptable. Over the years we’ve found handling these can create potential safety issues, along with the often advanced age of these firearms.
